Lee Kang-In, the 24-year-old Korean midfielder, arrived at the summer mercato in July 2023 from Mallorca, and is under contract at Paris Saint-Germain until June 2028. He has achieved some fine things, but is struggling to establish himself fully, and there is talk of a departure this mercato. Today, PSG Inside Actus assures us that the door is open to a departure.
“According to my information, PSG will not retain the former Mallorca player in the event of an offer deemed financially coherent. Luis Enrique, while appreciating the player’s profile, does not consider him indispensable in the current rotation.
Several clubs have already expressed interest. Teams from Saudi Arabia, Italy’s Serie A and England have made initial contact to find out the terms of a possible transfer.”
We remain cautious, there’s nothing certain yet with a rumor and therefore not a concrete announcement. Lee seems to be a candidate for departure with a limited role and performances that are not totally convincing.
However, nothing is certain yet. The Korean hasn’t missed everything, and replacing him wouldn’t necessarily be easy. He may also be keen to fight for a place in Paris. So, let’s wait and see. Even if a departure would not be a surprise.
