Manchester United striker Melvine Malard, 24, is of interest to Paris Saint-Germain, who are looking to strengthen their attacking options this summer. According to collectif_irp, PSG are considering a loan deal to convince Manchester United, where Malard is under contract until 2027, to let her join the capital. It’s a complex dossier that could well dominate the Parisian mercato.

For several seasons now, the Paris Saint-Germain women’s team has been struggling to rediscover the stability that was its strength when it won its only French championship title in 2021. Between frequent changes of coach, massive squad renewals and the sometimes chaotic management of individual cases, the team suffers from a lack of continuity that hampers its national and European ambitions.

Unlike the men’s section, where a clear, ambitious project guides every mercato and strategic decision, PSG’s women still seem to be searching for an identity and a common thread.

And yet, in order to compete on a lasting basis with OL or to make a name for themselves on the European stage, it is vital to build a solid backbone, retain key players and attract talent capable of long-term success.

Giving the women’s team a coherent project with a long-term vision would not only stabilize results, but also make the club more attractive to top international players. This is the only way PSG’s women’s team can hope to turn the corner, just as their men’s counterparts have done in recent years.
