This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain take on Real Madrid at MetLife Stadium in New York in the semi-finals of the 2025 Club World Cup (kick-off 9pm, broadcast on DAZN). On the eve of the match, RMC Sport reported that two players did not take part in the collective training session, while Willian Pacho (23-year-old defender) and Lucas Hernandez (29-year-old defender) were allowed to leave the squad following their suspension for the remainder of the competition.
“The Parisian group began with some juggling and a toro. They then worked on attacking phases with Lucas Beraldo in defence. Presnel Kimpembe was missing once again. Gabriel Moscardo was apart with a physical trainer. All under the watchful eye of sports consultant Luis Campos and Parisian president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.”
This is just a little bit of bad news, as we don’t really expect Presnel Kimpembe (29-year-old defender) and Gabriel Moscardo (19-year-old midfielder) to take part in tomorrow’s match.
The former looks set to miss the rest of the match, which seems a long way off for the injury he was reported to have sustained in training. The latter could perhaps be on the scoresheet on Sunday if the final is decided, but it will be difficult to secure a place given the competition and the lack of automatisms.
