On Wednesday evening, Paris Saint-Germain faced Real Madrid in the final of the Club World Cup. It was a Champions League showdown that was eagerly awaited by all soccer fans. And to say the least, it was never a match. Paris humiliated Madrid 4-0 (video highlights PSG/Real Madrid), rendering all their attacking talents impotent. Fabian Ruiz, man of the match and scorer of a brace this evening, spoke to DAZN about the victory:
Man of the match against Real Madrid is a dream?
Yeah, I couldn’t have imagined anything better. Well done to the whole team, who gave me the strength to score those goals. The team won against Real Madrid and that’s difficult. They’re one of the greatest teams in the world and we knew it would be very difficult. It was complicated today because it was hot, but we’re very, very happy.
It was difficult for you at first, but now it’s wonderful to see you?
It was a bit of everything that made me change. Changing countries is never easy. Of course it’s a bit difficult at first, but then the coach arrived and little by little I tried to do my best. The season that’s just gone was great, it was very rich what we experienced.
