The 2024 summer mercato is over, but the next phase is already underway, and the rumors surrounding Paris Saint-Germain continue. Today, PSG Inside Actus is reporting that Alejandro Garnacho, the 20-year-old winger from Manchester United (contract runs until 2028) and Argentina, is a target for several big clubs, including Paris.

“Alejandro Garnacho is in PSG’s sights. Several European clubs are following the Argentinian player. Garnacho is valued at 45 ME by Transfermarkt, but Manchester United are likely to ask for more. Other clubs are interested in the player, starting with Real Madrid and Bayern.”
Nothing impossible, at least it’s a recruitment that would fit in with the current Parisian project. A young talent to develop, with a mentality full of determination and passion. Not to mention versatility, as the Argentinian can play on both sides of the pitch.
Nevertheless, we remain cautious. The mercato is a long way off, and there’s nothing to suggest that Paris will be able to close the deal in particular. There may be some competition, including Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Not to mention the fact that PSG, who has trained with Atlético Madrid and Manchester (joining in 2020) in particular, is not necessarily tempted by a signing in the French capital.
It’s conceivable that there could be an attempt and a breakthrough, so we’re not putting this dossier on the back burner. But there’s no question of any particular optimism.
