Gianluigi Donnarumma, the 26-year-old goalkeeper who joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2021 on a contract running until 2026 (following the end of his tenure at AC Milan), is at the heart of the rumour mill. His extension is not forthcoming, and there is talk of a departure, with Lucas Chevalier (23, Lille and France) to replace him. George Cardi (Galatasaray’s mercato intermediary) claims that the Turkish club are trying their luck for the Italian keeper.
Turkey deals intermediary announces:
“Is Donnarumma the next transfer to Galatasaray? We’re trying,” George Gardi.”
Nothing better than an official statement. Donnarumma is being tracked and the market for him is on alert. This doesn’t mean that it will or won’t happen, but the Turkish club are looking into it.
Of course, given that PSG tried their hand at this with Lucas Chevalier, it gives other clubs in Europe ideas. A goalkeeper like this on the market is something that needs to be sounded out and studied. We’re waiting to find out more, but this dossier is set to last.
