Gianluigi Donnarumma, the 26-year-old goalkeeper who joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2021 with a contract until 2026 (following the end of his contract at AC Milan), is at the heart of the rumors. His contract extension is not forthcoming, and there is talk of a departure, with Lucas Chevalier (23, Lille and French national team) set to replace him. Donnarumma is content to stay in Paris and fight for his place, even though there has been no significant engagment over a new deal to date. However, PSG prefer to sell and have been reluctant to improve Donnarumma’s terms. GMS understands PSG valued Donnarumma at in excess of £30m.
Suggestions Donnarumma has had a formal approach from either Manchester United or Galatasaray are wide of the mark. The French international goalkeeper is yet to receive any meaningful approach, but that could change in the final weeks of the window.

It’s difficult to see clearly amidst the numerous rumors. While sometimes close to leaving, Donnarumma could also remain at PSG. Many clubs have been mentioned in this case, except that no offer has been made. A transfer is therefore still a long way off, but not impossible.
The Italian could remain in Paris and compete with Lucas Chevalier before leaving for a free. However, the Lille native is not yet at PSG, and a contract extension is not officially out of the question. These are only rumors, and not everything is pointing in the same direction.
However, several media outlets have suggested that Donnarumma could continue in Paris even without an extension. It would still be a surprise and possibly a disappointment for PSG.
