This Thursday, France Football unveiled the list of 10 players nominated for the Yachine Trophy, rewarding the best goalkeeper of the year (the Trophy now covers a season and not a calendar year), which will be awarded on September 22. Here is the full list, with 1 player from Paris Saint-Germain: Gianluigi Donnarumma (26 years old).
It makes sense that Donnarumma would be there, with an exceptional run in the Champions League and a victory at the end. There is still competition, though, as other goalkeepers have been impressive and the Italian may have lacked consistency in the league. It still seems reasonable to think he has a chance of making a name for himself.
