Ilya Zabarnyi, the 22-year-old central defender from Bournemouth (contract until 2028) and Ukraine, has been announced as a defensive priority for Paris Saint-Germain in the transfer window. There is now talk of an imminent transfer to PSG. Journalist Fabrizio Romano announced today that the deal is almost complete and that he will be the next to arrive in Paris.
It’s hard to believe that the Zabarnyi file won’t be officially closed soon, given that all the media are finally affirmative on the matter. There is still some doubt here. Romano seems to indicate that Zabarnyi will be the next signing, while the medical for Lucas Chevalier (23-year-old goalkeeper) has been mentioned by some journalists as scheduled for this Friday morning. It’s hard to say any sooner.
But that’s just a detail. The main thing is to finally see PSG move forward. With official announcements likely imminent.
