Lucas Beraldo, 21-year-old Paris Saint-Germain defender, was sidelined during the 2-0 victory against Lens in Matchday 4 of Ligue 1. This was due to a severe ankle twist during a duel. This raised concerns about a long absence, but the initial news is positive. RMC Sport confirms that the Parisian’s ligaments are not affected.
“The Brazilian defender underwent initial tests late Sunday evening following his stretcher removal during the 2-0 win against Lens. Initial reports indicate nothing serious for the capital club’s number 4, who is reportedly suffering from a sprained ankle. No ligaments are believed to be affected. As Le Parisien explained, he should avoid a long period of unavailability.”
Beraldo will, of course, still need rest. Probably for a few weeks. But it’s much better than what was feared when he was taken off. PSG and the Brazilian could do rather well in this case. Let’s hope the news regarding Lee Kang-In (24-year-old midfielder/forward) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (24-year-old forward) will be as positive.
