As part of Matchday 6 of Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain hosted AJ Auxerre at the Parc des Princes and won 2-0. Seventeen-year-old forward Quentin Ndjantou spoke to PSG TV after making his debut for the senior team.
Ndjantou: “I also thank the coach for the trust he gave us”
“It was a lot of pride. I’m very happy to have made my debut with my boyhood club, and I also thank the coach for the trust he gave us. What impressed me the most? The intensity and the level of intelligence — you have to be connected with your teammates very quickly and also defend quickly. Those were the most important aspects during the match.”
For PSG’s academy graduates, a first appearance with the professionals is always a blend of strong emotions. Luis Enrique has consistently shown genuine faith in these young players, proving that hard work is rewarded. With several senior players injured, it’s also the perfect moment for them to step up.
There’s no doubt they’ll get more playing time throughout the season, even if they must adapt to a much higher level. For now, they contributed to an important win that allowed PSG to reclaim the top spot in the league.
