This Saturday, November 1st, Paris Saint-Germain faces Nice at the Parc des Princes (kick-off at 5 pm, CET) for Matchday 11 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season. And as before every match, here’s a look at PSG’s opponent.
Nice’s situation –
Nice has an overall ambitious project, but is struggling to find its footing and establish itself among the top teams in the league. In the summer of 2024, Franck Haise arrived after successful years at Lens, replacing Francesco Farioli, who left for Ajax Amsterdam.
The former Lens coach implemented a more attacking philosophy after the very defensive Nice side of last season. There have been some great successes, but also frustrating misses and ultimately a great deal of inconsistency. Ultimately, they secured a respectable 4th place in Ligue 1.
Unfortunately, they lost the Champions League playoff against Benfica and are now playing in the Europa League, where they are struggling. At least they managed to bounce back in Ligue 1, climbing to 8th place after a strong run of results (2 draws and 3 wins) despite a poor start to the season. However, it’s important to remember that their form is still uncertain.

Nice’s playing style.
Franck Haise had an attacking style at Lens and hasn’t changed it at Nice, even if he needs to adapt a little to the squad. We see a three-man defense and a desire to play a high, intense game. This is done with passing sequences and a desire to find space in behind. They don’t hesitate to move forward quickly when possible.
The Parisians need to be very attentive and in good form to avoid being caught out. At least they could exploit some very worrying defensive weaknesses at times.
