Bradley Barcola, the 23-year-old Paris Saint-Germain striker, spoke to reporters in the mixed zone after the 2-1 defeat against Bayern Munich on Tuesday at the Parc des Princes in Matchday 4 of the 2025-2026 Champions League.
Barcola: “We lacked concentration.”
PSG deserved to lose, what was missing?
I think we lacked concentration on certain plays and that cost us goals. I don’t think it was all bad, we did wake up well. But I think the start of the match cost us dearly. We weren’t fully committed from the beginning, the first half was very average and that’s what made us lose the match.
How do you explain not being able to equalize when you were down to 10 men?
I don’t know, we tried a lot but we weren’t lucky enough to score. We gave it our all, it’s a shame. We’ll try to take some positives from this match.
How do you come away from this evening with the defeat and the injuries?
We’ll try to bounce back as quickly as possible. We have a big match this weekend against Lyon. We have to try to make up for it.
Barcola: “The run of matches is taking its toll and I’m starting to feel it.”
You lacked technical precision tonight, could that fuel your determination for the rest of the season?
I always want to do better.
A difficult period individually? Fatigue?
The run of matches is taking its toll and I’m starting to feel it. It’s starting to take its toll.
What’s it like to face a team that makes things so difficult for you?
We knew it was going to be tough, even if we honestly weren’t expecting this. We’ll try to focus on the positives.
Is this a wake-up call?
Yes, it was tough. They were a very good team. We’ll try to make up for it.
