To close out Matchday 12 of Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain traveled to face Olympique Lyonnais and won 2-3. Following the match, Kang-In Lee, the 24-year-old midfielder/forward, who was playing his 100th game tonight, spoke to PSG TV.
Lee: “I’m very happy to have played 100 matches with the club.”
“I’m very happy to have won, very happy to have played my 100th match with Paris Saint-Germain. The team showed that it has a lot of strength, which was very important. Ultimately, every league match is important for us. We prepared to try and win this game, so we’re very happy about it. I’m very happy to have played 100 matches with the club and to have been able to help the team; I hope I can continue like this.”
PSG needed to win after Lens and Olympique de Marseille’s victories earlier in the day. Even though it was a hard-fought win, it further demonstrates the Parisian team’s fighting spirit, never giving up until the very last minute.
This victory allows PSG to enjoy the break with peace of mind. Hopefully, some of the players currently sidelined with injuries will be able to use this rest period to recover. The next month of competition will also be very busy, with the possibility of securing Champions League qualification.
