João Neves, the 21-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, stopped in the mixed zone after the 1-0 defeat against Monaco this Saturday at the Stade Louis II in Matchday 14 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season.
Neves: “We made mistakes, but we’ll learn from them.”
How do you explain the defeat?
It’s not an easy time, especially in this type of match. We always want to win; that’s how PSG thinks. We’ll learn from our mistakes, and I can’t wait for the next match.
Were you tired after the match against Tottenham?
Yes, of course. But we have everything we need at the PSG Campus to recover. We’re here, trying to do our best. That’s not why we didn’t win. We made mistakes, but we’ll learn from them.
Neves: “He’ll take care of that, I’ll focus on playing.”
Potentially losing the top spot in Ligue 1, would that be a big deal or is it not important at this point in the season?
I don’t think it’s a big deal. If we win every match until the end, we’ll be champions. It depends on us, and that’s good for us.
No red card for Camara for the tackle on Chevalier, you understand?
I didn’t see it, the referee listened to VAR. It’s his decision. He’ll take care of that, I’ll focus on playing.
