Jean-François Vulliez, coach of the Paris Saint-Germain Elite Youth squad, was invited by Le Parisien to comment on the rise of the Titis within the first team. He shared his positive views on the organizational structure within the Parisian club.

“There is coordination between us and the professional team, it’s very positive.”

“The PSG is an incredible club in terms of infrastructure. There is a fantastic atmosphere. Everything is optimized to help young players progress. Yohan Cabaye and Mathieu Le Scornet work very closely together, and we exchange information every day about each player — their areas for improvement and their development.

Luis Campos is also very active, regularly attending matches from all youth categories. There is therefore a strong coordination between us and the professional team, which is very positive.”

This is interesting, especially at a time when an investigation has been launched regarding internal tensions within the academy. It shows that there are also positive aspects in the club’s daily life. Of course, there are probably things that still need improvement. But there is a real desire to develop youth training and strengthen the connection with the professional team, which involves coordination and regular communication.

PSG has made progress: the club is able to give space to its Titis and aims for precise monitoring to push each player as high as possible — even if not all of them will be able to break through in a team with such fierce competition. The move to the PSG Campus was also intended to strengthen this link, and we can see that it is paying off.
