This Sunday, the women’s teams of Paris Saint-Germain (2nd in D1) and Lille (4th in D2) faced off at the PSG Campus in the Round of 32 of the 2025-2026 Women’s French Cup. After the 2-0 victory (video highlights PSG/Lille), coach Paulo César spoke to PSG TV. He reflected on the success and the first start for 17-year-old left-back Noémie Fatier.
What are your feelings after the victory?
It’s very positive. It’s an important victory because the qualification is what we need to focus on. And then, the fact that we played with quite a few young players who stepped up and had a great game. I’m quite satisfied.
A good debut for Noémie Fatier?
This is the reward for everything she’s done since the beginning. She’s a hard-working player with many qualities. She’s still very young, though. When we have time with her, she’ll reap the rewards. She’s a player for the future. I have a lot of faith in her, and so does the club.
