Paris Saint-Germain lost 0-1 to Paris FC this Monday at the Parc des Princes in the Round of 32 of the 2025-2026 Coupe de France. After the match, PSG coach Luis Enrique (54 years old) spoke to beIN SPORTS.
Luis Enrique: “We played well. But to win in football, you have to score goals.”
25 shots, no goals, but elimination. What will you say to your players after this match?
I never talk to the players after matches; it’s strictly forbidden. When you win or when you lose, it’s not the time to analyze a match. But it’s very easy to judge. We created a lot of chances, we deserved to win, we played well. But to win in football, you have to score goals. That wasn’t the case. So there’s this defeat.
Luis Enrique: “We clearly deserved to win.”
PSG never gave up. Is the upcoming schedule also a factor?
No. Not at all. I’ll say it again, we had 25 shots, we created a lot of chances, we dominated every minute. We did everything we could to win. I’m very happy with what I saw, with the intensity. But it’s a sport where you have to score. It wasn’t our day, we have to accept that. I wish PFC all the best. We clearly deserved to win.
