Having arrived from Mallorca during the summer transfer window in July 2023, Lee Kang-In, a 24-year-old South Korean midfielder/winger, is under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until June 2028. He took some time to adapt and establish himself, but has since grown in stature. This hasn’t stopped rumors of a departure, including a potential move to Atletico Madrid this winter. Today, La SER reports that the player has given his word to the Spanish club.

Kang-In Lee, Ederson, and João Gomes: the three options Atlético Madrid is focusing on to strengthen their squad with two new signings.
👉 All three are willing to make the move, but everything hinges on reaching an agreement with their respective clubs.
Kang-In Lee is very keen on the option of returning to La Liga and playing for Atlético Madrid.
📻 Sources close to the negotiations have told @La_SER that they are optimistic the deals will be finalized.
The Spanish media are insistent, but we remain very cautious. We’ve seen several times that they know how to get carried away over nothing, especially when PSG is involved. There’s nothing concrete in this matter. Lee has never confirmed a desire to leave, and Atletico’s interest isn’t official either. Not to mention that an agreement with PSG is far from certain. The Korean has a real place in this squad.
