This Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain (2nd in Ligue 1) faces AS Monaco (8th) at the Stade Louis II in the first leg (Kick-off is at 9 pm, CET)of their 2025-2026 Champions League playoff (the second leg is on Wednesday, February 25th). On Tuesday evening, Le Parisien published a probable PSG lineup.

Neves – Vitinha – Zaïre-Emery
Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Hakimi

A perfectly credible lineup, but uncertain since coach Luis Enrique doesn’t give any information to the media. It’s therefore always necessary to try and anticipate, as the Spaniard is capable of bold choices and surprises. Everything depends on the competition for places, the exact form of the players, and an analysis of the opponent. All this with a certain versatility in his squad, which opens the door to many options.
All the better, the coach wants an unpredictable PSG. Even if we can guess some things, since certain players have become indispensable, like Vitinha, Nuno Mendes, and Willian Pacho. As we don’t expect any significant rotation for a Champions League match, some starting positions seem certain. There are still a few doubts, however, given recent inconsistent performances. This includes Désiré Doué, even though he’s been harshly judged by the fans and pundits. Seeing him in the starting lineup wouldn’t be unreasonable. We’ll have to wait for the official announcement of the lineup, about an hour before the match, for any certainty.
