This Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain welcomed RC Lens to the Parc des Princes for the 10th day of Ligue 1. Paris quickly made light work of the situation, opening the scoring in the 4th minute (1-0, see PSG/Lens video summary), but the rest of the match was barren, despite numerous Parisian chances, and a few from the Sang et Or. Lens midfielder Andy Diouf spoke to beIN SPORTS about this bitter defeat:
Andy Diouf: “We may have lacked some lucidity at the end”.
Are you a bit bitter after this defeat because you had chances but never scored ?
Yes, I’m a little bitter. We played a big part of the game with 10 against 11, we defended a lot and when we got the ball back, we perhaps lacked the clarity to finish. That’s how it is, it’s 1-0 at the Parc, so we’ll keep on working.
Did that affect you in the first half ?
We lost a little bit of energy talking. We have to continue like this, it’s still an encouraging defeat with good things at the end of the game. We will continue like that.
