On Wednesday, the Paris Saint-Germain and Dijon women’s teams faced off at the Stade Gaston-Gérard in the quarterfinals of the 2025-2026 Women’s French Cup. After the 2-1 victory, coach Paulo César spoke to PSG TV.

Paulo César: “I’ll take the qualification; that’s the most important thing.”

“What I’ll take away from this is the qualification. It’s very important. We saw that the players weren’t at 100%. Unfortunately, we lost Isabela very early in the match, and we also lost Jackie (Groenen). It’s the fatigue from traveling. The result speaks for itself. But I really appreciate their fighting spirit. They played with heart. They had their opportunities and they scored.

Congratulations also to Dijon, who played a good match and caused a lot of problems.” But I’ll take the qualification; that’s the most important thing. Of course, I wanted to see a more exciting match, but we didn’t manage it. We’ll keep working, even though we also need to get some good rest before going to Montpellier.
