This Saturday, during Matchday 27 of Ligue 1 2025-2026, Paris Saint-Germain faced Nice at the Allianz Riviera. After a match where the Red and Blue largely dominated, they won 4-0. Here are our player ratings for the Parisians.
Goalkeeper –
Matvey Safonov (6) – A fairly quiet first half. A few errors in his distribution. An even more peaceful second half for him.
Defenders –
Warren Zaïre-Emery (6) – He wasn’t very inspired defensively in the first half. He managed to add some attacking presence. Rather timid overall. He remains a player for the team’s balance, and when he’s not very visible, it’s often because he’s done a lot of unseen work. He scored a strange goal, which was deserved, because he fought for every ball.
Ilya Zabarnyi (5.5) – A technically poor first half. He had some lapses in his passing, but was rarely troubled defensively.
Willian Pacho (6) – He really struggled with his distribution. He compensated with good defensive duels, but in Luis Enrique’s system, it was sometimes frustrating. A good match nonetheless.
Lucas Hernandez (6) – An interesting backup for Nuno Mendes, he took on a completely different role, showing a lot of impact and discipline. A good defensive performance overall.
Midfielders –
Senny Mayulu (6) – An interesting first half in terms of impact; we regret his injury. Replaced by Lucas Beraldo in the 43rd minute.
Vitinha (7) – He circulated the ball well, but struggled to break lines. We expect a bit more going forward than his first-half performance. On the other hand, while not taking more risks, he did the essentials technically to avoid losing possession. A metronome, as always, he almost never left the pitch. Towards the end of the match, he delighted his teammates. Too easy for him.
Lee Kang-in (4) – He constantly made the same movement and gradually faded from view. A mediocre first half. A match to forget for him. Replaced by Ousmane Dembélé in the 65th minute.
Forwards –
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (6.5) – He was the Parisian player who created the most chances in the first half. He sometimes struggled to find his place in attack. However, he played his part; there’s not much to criticize. He fought hard, ran a lot, and made a difference. Replaced by Ibrahim Mbaye in the 76th minute.
Nuno Mendes (7) – In a more attacking role, he was ultimately rather timid. He did, however, score the penalty that put Paris in front. He was also decisive in the second goal. A fairly neutral match overall, but this level of performance from Nuno Mendes remains above the rest. Valuable. Substituted by Gonçalo Ramos in the 76th minute.
Désiré Doué (6) – Some good moments, but relatively little attacking impact. He did, however, create two scoring opportunities, two passes that certainly deserved a goal. He still lacks the confidence to be the Désiré Doué of last year. He scored the second goal, and he lost track of Kvaratskhelia on a potential third goal at the hour mark. Frustrating at times. Substituted by Dro Fernandez in the 76th minute.
Coach –
Luis Enrique (6) – He’s trying things out, playing Nuno Mendes further up the pitch, and he’s already thinking about how to inject pace with Barcola’s injury. He’s winning games for his team, so he’s doing everything right, but the underlying issue is his very limited squad and he’s treading carefully.
Lucas Beraldo (6) – In a relatively new midfield role, he circulated the ball without taking too many risks. His technical ability meant he didn’t look out of place, but he didn’t perform miracles either. He seemed quite comfortable, even if the opposition wasn’t particularly strong.
Ousmane Dembélé (6) – A good appearance off the bench, setting up Dro for his first goal. He’s always a threat; he has such a wide range of skills.
Gonçalo Ramos (5) – Limited playing time, but he battled hard, as he always does.
Ibrahim Mbaye (5) – You can tell he’s eager, but he often falls back into his old habits, trying to do too much. He also frequently makes poor decisions, but there’s no doubt, the talent is there.
Dro Fernandez (7) – What can be said about his introduction? A first goal, quality technical touches. He’s very promising.
