This Friday, as part of Matchday 28 of Ligue 1 2025-2026, Paris Saint-Germain faced Toulouse at the Parc des Princes. Rasmus Nicolaisen, the 29-year-old Toulouse defender, spoke to Ligue1+ after PSG’s 3-1 victory.
Nicolaisen: “We showed character and personality, which is important for what’s to come.”
Was it a very difficult match?
Yes, it was difficult, but we were still able to show our character. We showed solidarity and some good things. We showed that we could compete with this team for a few minutes, but we needed to be a little more clinical, especially in the final pass or shot. They’re a team that forces us to be precise and technically sound. The first half was very positive; we did some good things, and the second half was a little less so. We showed character and personality, which is important for what’s to come.
Nicolasen: “There are a lot of positive things to take away from this match.”
Can you tell us about your goal?
Yes, two years without scoring. I had a serious injury, so I’m happy today to contribute to something positive and to score. But in the end, that goal isn’t enough, so no matter who scores, I would have preferred a bigger scoreline.
Did you believe you could win at the end?
Yes, we wanted to fight until the very end; we believed we could win. But there are still a lot of positive things to take away from this match.
