This Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain faces Bayern Munich at the Parc des Princes in the first leg of their 2025-2026 Champions League semi-final (the second leg is on May 6th). Kick-off is at 9 pm, CET+. On Monday evening, RMC Sport published a likely PSG lineup.
Kvaratskhelia – Dembélé – Barcola
Neves – Vitinha – Zaïre
Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Hakimi
Safonov
This lineup seems entirely plausible, as it’s expected that there will be no rotation for such a high-profile match. The clear objective is to field the strongest possible eleven to advance towards the final. However, some doubts remain, given the fierce competition and the highly versatile nature of the players. Coach Luis Enrique’s choices will also depend on a precise analysis of the opponent.
The defense seems certain, but questions remain in midfield and attack. In midfield, it’s a battle between Fabian Ruiz and Warren Zaïre-Emery. Ruiz gained the upper hand last season but was sidelined for a long time with an injury, while Zaïre-Emery is having a remarkable season. In attack, the competition appears to be between Bradley Barcola and Désiré Doué. Barcola is better at attacking the space behind the defense, while Doué excels in tight spaces. Doué might be paying the price for some inconsistency in recent months, although he will undoubtedly have a role to play, at least as a substitute.
