This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich will face off at the Allianz Arena in the second leg of their 2025-2026 Champions League semi-final (PSG won the first leg 5-4). Kick-off is at 9 pm, CET. Here are the probable lineups according to L’Equipe.
Bayern Munich (4-2-3-1) –
Kane
Diaz – Musiala – Olise
Pavlovic – Kimmich
Laimer – Tah – Upamecano – Stanisic
Neuer
PSG (4-3-3) –
Kvaratskhelia – Dembélé – Doué or Barcola
Ruiz or Doué – Vitinha – Neves
Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Zaïre-Emery
Safonov
These are all very credible lineups, given the competition for places on both sides and the players available. Even though surprises are always possible, given the strength of each squad, we know that coach Luis Enrique is adept at surprising, and Vincent Kompany also has some aces up his sleeve to pull off an upset.
For PSG, the biggest question mark hangs over who will start in midfield, as Warren Zaïre-Emery has to compensate for Achraf Hakimi’s absence at right-back. Fabian Ruiz was the starter, but his long injury (from January to April) casts doubt on his availability. He still seems to lack match fitness, which could prove fatal in this game.
Désiré Doué could play in midfield, as we’ve seen before. He’s also an attacking option to challenge a Bayern side looking to apply pressure. Lee Kang-In, Lucas Beraldo, and Senny Mayulu are also possibilities. Up front, we could also consider Bradley Barcola and Doué, if he doesn’t play in midfield. The former is faster, the latter more creative.
We’re therefore remaining cautious, as nothing is certain. We’ll have to wait for the official announcement, about an hour beforehand, to know for sure. But we can be sure that there will be some very strong teams on the field, all fighting to qualify for the final on May 30th.
