The final match of the season at the Parc des Princes took place on Matchday 33 of Ligue 1. In a truly electric atmosphere, Paris Saint-Germain hosted Stade Brestois 29. Facing a very compact and deep-lying defense, the heavily rotated Parisian side secured a narrow victory thanks to a goal from Désiré Doué (1-0). Renato Marin, the capital club’s third-choice goalkeeper and starter tonight, spoke to Ligue 1+ after the match:
Renato Marin: “The atmosphere at the Parc is incredible, the fans are amazing!”
Well done on your performance, how did you feel?
Thank you, thank you, I’m very happy. The atmosphere at the Parc is incredible, the fans are amazing. The fans are truly incredible.
What did it give you?
I think being a goalkeeper isn’t an easy position, because you have to wait the whole match to do something good. I made two or three saves, and that’s what counts.
What are your strengths compared to the other two goalkeepers?
I think I’m a bit aggressive, like I was a little bit tonight. I like to attack the striker, and I’m not afraid. If you’re not crazy, you’re not a goalkeeper.
How are you approaching the match against Lens?
It will be another final; we’ll have to win all the other matches. We’re not champions yet.
