Having arrived at Paris Saint-Germain in 2023, 25-year-old midfielder Kang-In Lee, under contract until 2028, is still struggling to impress. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Korean player is reportedly open to a move during the next summer transfer window.

“The player is increasingly convinced of the need to leave the European champions.”

“The player is increasingly convinced of the need to leave the European champions to find a club where he will be an undisputed starter. Against Arsenal, the Asian player didn’t set foot on the pitch for a single minute. This strengthens Atlético’s chances.

The transfer fee is a key point in the negotiations. According to the French and South Korean press, PSG is demanding around 50 million euros, an amount that Atlético will try to reduce as much as possible, given its numerous other commitments. Recruiting a player from the reigning European champions is no easy task, as the club has already discovered in the past.

It’s worth remembering that the Mallorcan club’s management had already tried to secure the South Korean player’s services during the last winter transfer window. Luis Enrique has therefore definitively closed the door on his departure, but recent months have only confirmed the impression that the The Asian player will have to look outside of Paris for the undisputed role he desires.

Whether it’s a permanent transfer or a loan, a departure would seem perfectly logical for the Korean midfielder. Unfortunately, after three years at the club, he still hasn’t managed to convince his coach or show sufficiently convincing potential for improvement. This loan situation will therefore need to be monitored, but if PSG wants to further strengthen its squad for next season, it will undoubtedly have to part ways with some players, and Kang-In Lee could logically be one of them.

However, nothing is yet certain, and we’ll have to wait for confirmation. Atlético Madrid has been mentioned in connection with this transfer for some time, without official confirmation. Other options are possible on both sides, even if it’s a very plausible move. However, agreeing on a transfer fee could prove difficult.
