Bradley Barcola, the 23-year-old striker signed by Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2023 on a contract until June 2028, took some time to establish himself but has finally become a regular in Luis Enrique’s team. He has also earned a place in the French national team. This rise has attracted interest from other clubs. According to L’Equipe, a departure is entirely possible.

“The player is not certain to stay at PSG next season.”

Despite having two years left on his contract, the player is not certain to remain at PSG next season. The Parisian club’s management began discussions several months ago to try and make progress on an extension. However, these discussions have stalled. (…) Faced with these protracted negotiations, PSG is not entirely opposed to a sale.

Barcola would like to play more often in the most important matches. Something Paris cannot guarantee. Luis Enrique and his player are expected to discuss this matter, as the Spaniard would like to keep his winger.

“Nothing is likely to progress before the end of the World Cup.”

The Frenchman will not force a confrontation with his club; he wants to get a clearer picture, but nothing is expected to progress before the end of the World Cup. “In any case, all the conditions would have to be right for a departure, which isn’t the case at the moment.”

These are credible statements, since the situation suggests that a departure is indeed possible. Barcola may be frustrated by his substitute role on big nights, a role that doesn’t seem likely to change given the immense competition. There are also some limitations the French international has shown in his finishing, which could also lead PSG to consider a change.

However, he also possesses very fine qualities, and Paris is a team that makes you want to play for him. The discussion could therefore still evolve. Simply put, for the moment, nothing seems possible. Especially with interest from Liverpool, in particular, which is often mentioned. This also creates uncertainty. We’ll have to wait for confirmation, as there are only rumors at the moment.
