Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Chairman of Paris Saint-Germain, spoke to Canal +’s Olivier Tallaron . He expressed the need for the Paris club to build a bigger stadium. He also took a swipe at Paris City Hall, which he felt was responsible for the club’s decision to leave the Parc des Princes.
Al-Khelaïfi “We need it for Financial Fair Play”.
We’re Paris Saint-Germain. A soccer club. We need to build a really, really big stadium, the best stadium in the world. We need it for Financial Fair Play. Every other European club has built a bigger, more modern stadium.
Is it vital for the club to have a big stadium?
If not, we’re behind everyone else.
So you’re definitely leaving the Parc des Princes?
The city has already decided for us.
