This Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain (25th) take on Bayern Munich (17th) at the Allianz Arena for Matchday 5 of the 2024-2025 Champions League (kick-off 9pm, broadcast on Canal+Foot). With 2 days to go, Le Parisien has put forward a likely Parisian line-up.
Barcola – Asensio – Dembélé
Neves – Vitinha – Zaïre-Emery
Nuno Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Hakimi
Donnarumma.
It’s hard to be totally certain of the line-up that coach Luis Enrique will choose. We’ve seen enough of his ability to surprise, and the competition in Paris is strong. So there could be a few “surprises”, even if there is a clear idea of who is most likely to start on the big European nights.
The wisest thing to do is to wait for the official announcement of the team, especially as the media don’t usually have specific information this “far” from the match. Sometimes there is a “leak” very shortly before the official announcement (about 1 hour).
Nuno Mendes is a real point of suspense here, as he was not in the squad on Friday against Toulouse. Was it really just a slight sprain and a precaution to be taken? It’s too early to say.
