Aside from the long-standing absentees (Presnel Kimpembe, Lucas Hernandez and Gonçalo Ramos), the Spanish coach should be able to count on his entire squad, and in particular Nuno Mendes, who suffered a right ankle sprain while on international duty. The Portuguese full-back was spared on Friday.”
We remain cautious, as we’ve already seen the media be quite wrong about a player’s return or absence. But coach Luis Enrique seemed rather optimistic in front of the media. So there is hope that Nuno Mendes will be available for this match.
