This Friday, June 19th, while the World Cup continues for a Paris Saint-Germain sidelined but with many players still involved, there’s a small event to celebrate concerning one of its World Cup participants: the birthday of Nuno Mendes, the left-back who turns 24 today.

Arriving from Sporting Lisbon in 2021, Nuno Mendes has had to develop at PSG. Initially a bit erratic both offensively and defensively, the Portuguese player has refined his game to make the most of his technical and athletic qualities. He quickly established himself in his position in Paris, and then very soon among the world’s best, where he is now undeniably firmly established.
We can only hope that he continues in this direction, with injuries becoming less frequent than during his first months at PSG, and that he enjoys a long and successful adventure in the capital, winning many more titles. In the meantime, we wish him a happy birthday. And a great run in the World Cup.
