Renato Marin, a 19-year-old Italian-Brazilian goalkeeper who saw out his contract with AS Roma in the summer of 2025 and immediately signed with Paris Saint-Germain through 2030, played three matches during his debut season. This Saturday, Le Parisien confirmed reports from Brazilian media that a loan move to the Portuguese league is taking shape.
“As revealed by the Brazilian press, the goalkeeper—who turns 20 on July 10—could join CD Nacional (14th in the Portuguese league last season) on a loan deal without an option to buy.
The clubs are still in talks, but this option is by far the most concrete one at the moment.”
While the move is certainly plausible, nothing is guaranteed until it is officially confirmed. The transfer market can move quickly and throw up surprises. Nevertheless, Renato Marin could well leave to gain playing time—especially given the reported arrival of Alessandro Longoni from Italy, who is expected to take on a potential third-choice role. For now, we must wait for confirmation.
