Yan Diomandé, the 19-year-old RB Leipzig and Ivory Coast forward (under contract until 2030), has been at the centre of a bidding war among Europe’s elite clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain. According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the Ivorian international has now made it clear that he wants to join PSG.
This comes as a major development, given that Paris had flown somewhat under the radar in this pursuit, while Liverpool had reportedly launched substantial bids in recent days. Leipzig, however, have yet to open the door to a departure, despite offers reaching around €110 million. It remains to be seen whether Paris will match those figures or if negotiations will prove difficult. As always, these fees remain unconfirmed, and caution is advised, but this represents a massive boost for the Parisian faithful.
