Paris Saint-Germain is simultaneously working on three major transfer market deals. According to Canal+ journalist Olivier Tallaron, the return of 32-year-old Aston Villa left-back Lucas Digne is taking shape, and an agreement is in place with 19-year-old RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomandé, while 23-year-old Paris forward Bradley Barcola has not asked to leave.
Lucas Digne: Return to Paris well underway
PSG Transfer : Digne deal not quite finalized yet. But the defender is set to return to Paris. No official announcement before the end of the World Cup (or after a potential elimination against Spain).
The Lucas Digne deal appears to be at an advanced stage, even though the final details of the operation still need to be settled. The announced timeline also explains the lack of an immediate official announcement: the left-back remains fully focused on the World Cup with the French national team. His arrival would provide PSG with an experienced option behind Nuno Mendes—a player who already knows the club and can quickly contribute to the rotation. However, a degree of caution remains necessary until the signing is officially confirmed.
Agreement already reached with Yan Diomandé
PSG Transfer 2/3: Regarding Diomandé, the PSG-player agreement is set. Paris wants to exercise patience with this deal. Discussions with Leipzig are ongoing and proceeding according to a normal timeline.
The agreement between PSG and Yan Diomandé represents a significant step forward, but does not yet guarantee his transfer. Paris must now find common ground with RB Leipzig, who hold the cards since the Ivorian winger is under contract with the German club. Paris’s decision not to rush negotiations indicates a long-term approach to this pursuit. Interest is genuine and talks are ongoing, but no agreement between the two clubs has been announced yet.
Bradley Barcola has not asked to leave PSG
PSG Transfer 3/3: No discussions regarding #Barcola’s future until the World Cup ends. This was the player’s request; he has not, as of now, asked to leave. As far as Paris is concerned, the player remains 100% committed.
PSG’s current stance is unequivocal: Bradley Barcola remains part of the project. The player simply wishes to postpone discussions about his future to stay focused on the World Cup. Crucially, no request to leave has been made at this stage.
This clarification temporarily quells rumors surrounding the forward, although the situation could be re-evaluated after the tournament. For the time being, Paris appears to be neither looking to sell him nor preparing for his replacement.
