Maghnes Akliouche, the 24-year-old attacking midfielder/winger for AS Monaco (under contract until 2028) and the French national team, is being touted as a key target for Paris Saint-Germain in the 2026 summer transfer window, with the door potentially left ajar for a move. L’Équipe reported this Monday that PSG has made an offer, even as they continue to pursue the signing of Yan Diomandé (a 19-year-old winger playing for RB Leipzig and Ivory Coast).
“The two clubs met in the Principality last week. The latest offer from Paris, estimated at €35 million, has not yet met with a favorable response from Monaco. Meanwhile, the capital club remains in constant contact with RB Leipzig regarding Diomandé, aiming to secure the best possible deal—even if it means keeping the German club waiting.
Also pursued by Liverpool, the Ivorian international winger (19 years old, 14 caps, 3 goals) has made Paris his priority. A five-year contract agreement is already in place with the player. Negotiations between the two clubs are actively ongoing.”
The scenario is plausible, though nothing is certain based on rumors alone. Concrete developments regarding incoming transfers at PSG are still lacking. It is difficult to gauge the exact status of the Akliouche and Diomandé deals—specifically whether offers have been made and what the potential price tag might be for this summer.
However, with Gonçalo Ramos officially departing for AC Milan and Lee Kang-In on the verge of joining Atlético Madrid, it would make sense for PSG to position itself to replace them. Akliouche and Diomandé are excellent prospects for this purpose; it remains to be seen whether these moves can be finalized. A surprise signing can never be ruled out when it comes to football advisor Luis Campos.
