On Friday at the Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain lost 1–2 to Monaco (PSG/Monaco video highlights) in Matchday 3 of the 2026–2027 Ligue 1 season. As we now do after every match, we asked our readers to vote for the best PSG player of the game. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (25-year-old forward) came out on top.

The win isn’t particularly surprising, though the voting was clearly tight. Overall, PSG played quite well but lacked clinical finishing. Everyone has their own take on such a frustrating defeat; chances were created, and the attacking players showed some good signs. However, you have to score to win. At the very least, Kvaratskhelia looked sharper than he had in the first two Ligue 1 matches.
Willian Pacho (24-year-old defender) also stood out. Maghnes Akliouche (24-year-old midfielder/forward) continues to look promising, even if that final spark is still missing. That will come as he settles in and completes the standard early-season physical conditioning.
Thanks for voting, everyone. As a reminder, the top three players from each match are used to determine the Player of the Month.
