Ibrahim Mbaye, an 18-year-old forward developed at Paris Saint-Germain and under professional contract until 2028, has carved out a small role in the first-team squad but has yet to secure regular playing time. There has been talk of a contract extension or a departure during the transfer window. According to L’Equipe, the academy graduate appears to be leaning towards a move to England, with Paris valuing him at €40–50 million.
“The young Senegalese international recently signed with an English agency, and the Premier League is his preferred destination should he leave. Manchester City and Aston Villa have already been linked to him. Internally, he is valued at between €40 million and €50 million.”
It is certainly plausible; a move for Mbaye to the Premier League has been discussed for several weeks, and it is a league that could well suit his style of play. From PSG’s perspective, it wouldn’t be entirely surprising to see the club open to a deal at the price point mentioned by the newspaper. However, he won’t necessarily be forced out, either. The situation remains somewhat unclear, largely because nothing concrete has materialized yet. We will have to wait for more certainty.
