Although Paris Saint-Germain and Nike—partners since 1989—already held a contract running until 2032 following an extension signed in 2019, L’Équipe reports this Monday that a new agreement has been reached. This deal includes both an extension and a significant increase in value.
“PSG will then hold one of the most lucrative kit supplier contracts in the world.”
Negotiations began shortly after PSG’s first Champions League triumph at the end of the 2024–2025 season. Buoyed by this success, Nasser al-Khelaïfi instructed his team to renegotiate the existing contract with Nike, which was set to run until 2032.
According to our information, the two-time defending European champions and the American brand have agreed to extend their partnership by five seasons, taking it through to 2037. This extension comes with a significant financial boost; while the current deal is worth around €60 million per year, the new agreement will bring the French champions approximately €100 million annually. PSG will then secure one of the most lucrative kit supplier contracts in the world.
Given that this sports newspaper is particularly reliable regarding PSG’s various sponsors, it is safe to assume this announcement is no coincidence. The deal is all but finalized, and an official announcement is likely imminent. It promises to be a major contract for the Parisian club, bringing a substantial increase in revenue. This further cements its status among the global elite—in terms of both brand image and financial returns—factors that are crucial for maintaining sporting success as well.
Paris reached a new level in this virtuous cycle by winning the Champions League. This immense sporting achievement was the result of the club’s successful all-around development, and it should help sustain that momentum. PSG has further expanded its global reach as a sports brand. Notably, it is expected to retain its exclusive partnership with Air Jordan—a factor of significant importance on the international stage.
These developments confirm the excellent strategic shift the club undertook in 2023. Management successfully moved away from a star-centric model, ultimately generating even higher revenues thanks to a team that is widely admired and captures the imagination.
