Randal Kolo Muani, a 25-year-old forward under contract at Paris Saint-Germain until June 2028, was one of the club’s biggest transfers when he arrived at the summer mercato in September 2023. But he hasn’t managed to make his mark so far, and rumors of a departure have surfaced. Sky Sport DE reports that Leipzig have put the French international on their list for the mercato. Other clubs are said to be interested, both in the Bundesliga and the Premier League. According to the media outlet, PSG want him to leave this winter. The most likely scenario remains a winter loan and a permanent transfer in the summer. The future of Xavi Simons is also discussed.
“Sky Sport DE confirms that Kolo Muani is on Leipzig’s shortlist!
Other PL and Bundesliga clubs interested
Paris is clear: ONE DEPARTURE this winter. The most likely option is a loan. A sale next summer
Leipzig must reach agreement for Simons.”
It would probably be the best solution to see Kolo Muani blossom elsewhere. There’s nothing worse than a player moping around. PSG will gain from seeing their player move on, and the player will be able to relive a new experience. Now, the price of Kolo Muani is high and that can make discussions very difficult. Let’s hope everyone comes out on top.
As for Simons, PSG have surely understood that the player won’t be coming back. We therefore expect him to leave for good, in order to bring funds back into the Parisian coffers, which are likely to be put under strain by the upcoming mercatos and the need to strengthen.
