On Tuesday, August 4, Paris Saint-Germain issued an official statement announcing the opening of a new PSG Academy—this time in Astana, Kazakhstan.
“Paris Saint-Germain announces the opening of a brand-new PSG Academy in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Located in the country’s capital, Astana, and led by entrepreneur Almaz Alsenov, the future football school will welcome up to 300 young players—both boys and girls—during its inaugural season starting in September 2026.
With this launch, Kazakhstan becomes the 24th country to join the global PSG Academy network, highlighting the Club’s international reach and its ambition to continue sharing its expertise and training methodology with the next generation worldwide.”
This is welcome news, as PSG continues to build its brand while giving children the chance to access football under the best possible conditions. The Academy has now expanded to 24 countries—a remarkable achievement. It also serves to attract more fans and potentially even unearth top talent, although no young player scouted through a PSG Academy has yet made it to the professional first team.
