Ibrahim Mbaye, an 18-year-old forward developed at Paris Saint-Germain and under a professional contract until 2028, has carved out a small role in the first-team squad but has not yet secured regular playing time. There has been talk of a contract extension or a transfer window departure. According to RMC Sport, Paris is asking for a higher fee than the €50 million figure previously mentioned.

“According to our information, the capital club is demanding €70 million to let its young forward leave this summer.

However, in various discussions held in recent weeks with interested clubs, PSG has cited varying figures, ranging from €70 million to €80 million depending on the party involved. While these figures serve more as a starting point for negotiations than a fixed, final price, this stance may have deterred some suitors—notably Liverpool, who value the player at around €50 million.

“Discussions are ongoing, but no suitor has yet managed to come close to meeting Paris’s demands.””

This situation is beginning to raise questions among the executives of clubs interested in the Paris Saint-Germain academy product. Some are questioning, in particular, how keen the Parisian club really is to sell Ibrahim Mbaye this summer.

For the time being, there has been no concrete progress in talks between PSG and any other club. Discussions are ongoing, but no suitor has yet managed to come close to meeting PSG’s demands.

These claims are credible, given that PSG can afford to set a high price for a promising young talent who is attracting interest—particularly from the Premier League—and has made a notable debut with Senegal. However, a degree of caution is necessary since nothing concrete has materialized yet, leaving the situation uncertain. For instance, while a €50 million price tag has been cited for some time, recent rumors suggest the figure is shifting—though it remains a plausible outcome, as €70 million would likely be considered too high. For now, the situation remains unclear, and we hope to gain more clarity soon.
