Paris Saint-Germain continues to scout young French talent. According to L’Équipe, the Parisian club is monitoring 17-year-old Olympique Lyonnais forward Adil Hamdani, who has yet to sign the first professional contract offered by his youth club.

“PSG is scouting at OL. A Paris-born talent from the Lyon academy, 17-year-old Adil Hamdani is being closely watched by PSG amidst a lack of progress regarding his contract situation. The U17 international (4 caps)—capable of playing on either flank or supporting a central striker—was offered a first professional contract by Lyon months ago but has not yet signed it.
To secure this player—who is currently on a youth trainee contract with one year remaining and could replace Ibrahim Mbaye should he leave this summer—PSG would need to reach an agreement with OL and pay a transfer fee. A lifelong PSG fan, Hamdani has emerged as a target following the pursuit of Montpellier youngster Laciné Megnan-Pavé; Paris had agreed terms with the latter but failed to secure his club’s approval, despite an offer in the region of €10 million.”
At this stage, it is merely a potential target rather than a deal described as advanced. However, Hamdani’s contract situation could open a window of opportunity for Paris: while he has not signed the professional deal offered by OL, he remains tied to the club via a youth trainee contract. Consequently, PSG could not simply acquire the young forward for free and would need to negotiate a fee with Lyon.
The profile being sought also offers insight into PSG’s thinking. Hamdani can play in various attacking roles and has appeared on the club’s radar at a time when Ibrahim Mbaye’s departure remains a possibility. Following the failure of the Laciné Megnan-Pavé deal, Paris appears to be continuing its exploration of the French market to snap up high-potential players at an early stage, though it has not yet reached an agreement with OL.
