Today, Paris Saint-Germain learned its schedule for the 2026–2027 Champions League league phase during the draw organized by UEFA (available here). The fixture list for this stage of the competition is now also known, with PSG’s specific match dates confirmed:
PSG can kick off their campaign at the Parc des Princes
The schedule gives PSG a good opportunity to pick up points straight away. The Parisians will host Slovan Bratislava on September 9 for their opening game of the competition. On paper, it is one of the most manageable fixtures on their schedule and therefore a match they cannot afford to get wrong.
The level of difficulty will then rise sharply. After this opening match, Paris Saint-Germain will travel to Manchester City on October 14 before hosting FC Barcelona just six days later, on October 20. Two major fixtures in quick succession that could already have a significant impact on the race for a top-eight finish.
Manchester City and Barcelona in six days
This is clearly the most challenging part of the schedule. Paris will have to deal with Manchester City/PSG and then PSG/FC Barcelona within a very short space of time, while also managing their domestic league commitments. Hosting Barcelona will at least allow PSG to avoid two consecutive European away trips during this period.
And the schedule will not become much easier afterwards. On November 3, the Parisians will travel to Villarreal before hosting AS Roma on November 25. The first half of the league phase could therefore go a long way towards determining PSG’s European fate: between Matchdays 2 and 5, Paris will face Manchester City, Barcelona, Villarreal and Roma in succession.
A potentially more favourable end to the schedule
PSG’s final match of 2026 will take them back to England, with an away game against Aston Villa on December 8. Paris will therefore have played five particularly demanding fixtures between mid-October and the beginning of December, three of them away from the Parc des Princes.
After the winter break, however, the schedule appears slightly more favourable. PSG will travel to Como on January 20, 2027 before completing their league phase at the Parc des Princes against Galatasaray on January 27. Those two fixtures could give the Parisians an opportunity to secure their position in the standings, although waiting until the final matchdays to collect the necessary points would obviously be a risky strategy.

The schedule is fairly balanced overall, with four home games and four away fixtures. The real challenge lies more in the order of the matches: Paris have a relatively favourable opening game but will then quickly face a much tougher test. Picking up all three points against Bratislava therefore looks even more important before entering the Manchester City-Barcelona double-header.
