On Friday at the Stade Pierre Mauroy, Paris Saint-Germain drew 2-2 against Lille in Matchday 2 of the 2026-2027 Ligue 1 season. As we now do after every match, we asked our readers to vote for the best PSG player of the game. Vitinha (26-year-old midfielder) came out on top.

It is a well-deserved win for Vitinha, even though he struggled a bit in the first half. The whole team faced similar difficulties, and it is clear that he still needs to find the right rhythm when playing alongside Lucas Beraldo (22) in midfield; the duo is still working on finding the right chemistry.
In the second half, the Portuguese midfielder dominated the middle of the park and played a decisive role in avoiding defeat: his goal was sublime, and the sequence of play leading to his cross for Marquinhos (32-year-old center-back and captain) was also top-class. Marquinhos rightly earned a spot on the podium thanks to his last-gasp equalizer, despite struggling somewhat in defense at times—though that was also a collective issue.
Maghnes Akliouche (24-year-old midfielder/forward) proved to be a strong addition, showing some very interesting spells of play. That final attacking spark is still missing, but it will come with time as the team gains momentum.
Thank you all for voting. As a reminder, the top three players from each match are used to determine the Player of the Month.
