The Champions League match on Wednesday evening (9 PM) at the Parc des Princes between PSG and Slovan Bratislava has been assigned a risk level of 2 out of 5 by the National Division for Combating Hooliganism (DNLH). This means authorities fear a “volatile atmosphere likely to trigger deviant behavior among supporters.”
Indeed, among the approximately 700 Slovak fans expected for the match, 350 are Ultras, and within that group, around fifty are considered high-risk. Another issue is that these fans are not being escorted by their club and are traveling independently, which could increase the risk of trouble.
It comes as no surprise that Slovak fans are traveling in large numbers to experience this great Champions League adventure. The trip to the Parc des Princes is a major highlight, offering the chance to watch a match on the home turf of the two-time European champions. Determination is inevitably high, and that spirit is expected to be mirrored on the pitch. It is up to the Parisians to be ready to respond and gain the upper hand.
