This Sunday, September 6, as the team prepares to host Slovan Bratislava on Wednesday for Matchday 1 of the 2026-2027 Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain has a small occasion to celebrate: the birthday of Luis Campos, the club’s sporting advisor, who is turning 62.
Having arrived in 2022 following successful stints at Monaco and Lille, Luis Campos initially faced skepticism regarding his methods and decisions—understandable given the immense demands at PSG. Today, however, he commands respect and recognition, having played a key role in the club’s two Champions League victories.
While the frenzy surrounding the transfer market inevitably sparks criticism and reservations, it is only fair to highlight his strengths in the role, given his proven track record at several clubs. Notably, since 2025, he has served as a sporting advisor for QSI, which has also invested in Braga (Portugal) and KAS Eupen (Belgium).
As he remains fully committed to a PSG side that continues to advance its project—all while acknowledging the persistent pressure—we wish him continued success and a very happy birthday.
