This Sunday, during Matchday 4 of the 2026-2027 Ligue 1 season, Paris Saint-Germain faced Brest at the Stade Francis Le-Blé. After a match in which the Rouge et Bleu often lacked precision and struggled, they secured a 0-1 victory. Here are our ratings for the Parisian players.
Goalkeeper –
Matvey Safonov (7) – A bit hesitant on a few aerial challenges, but he redeemed himself well with his footwork and, above all, two excellent saves in the second half.
Defenders –
Achraf Hakimi (5) – He played only about thirty minutes, showing both good and bad moments. He left the pitch due to muscle pain and was replaced by Fabian Ruiz (6.5). Ruiz’s introduction improved the fluidity and control of the Parisian game, while also helping to launch a few attacking opportunities.
Marquinhos (7) – Solid overall; he ensured clean distribution despite intense pressing from Brest.
Willian Pacho (7) – He handled his duels with Ludovic Ajorque well, though he wasn’t quite the imperious rock we know him to be. He made a fine recovery in the second half following a turnover by Warren Zaïre-Emery and displayed composure when playing the ball out from the back.
Nuno Mendes (5.5) – Made good forward runs to create danger, but also committed some major errors in execution—including one that could have led to a goal in the second half.
Midfielders –
Vitinha (6) – You couldn’t say he had a bad game, but the Portuguese midfielder usually exerts more influence on a match. Still, he delivered some lovely passes and won back possession numerous times.
João Neves (6) – Put in a lot of defensive effort and covered plenty of ground. Some good attacking contributions, even if it wasn’t a particularly standout performance.
Warren Zaïre-Emery (3) – Some ball recoveries, but also an unusual number of turnovers, both in passing and ball control. He lost a very dangerous duel in the second half. Replaced in the 77th minute by Dro Fernandez.
Forwards –
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (4) – Created very little, making questionable decisions and failing to really catch the opposition off guard. There were a few flashes of inspiration, nonetheless. Replaced in the 66th minute by Désiré Doué.
Ousmane Dembélé (5) – A beautiful assist for Ferran Torres, but not much else. No major blunders, but no standout successes either. Replaced in the 66th minute by Maghnes Akliouche.
Ferran Torres (6.5) – Scored a lovely goal—crucial for the win—and made several intelligent runs alongside a few chance-creating passes. He continues to show he has settled in well. Replaced by Mika Godts in the 77th minute.
Coach –
Luis Enrique (6) – The management was sound and the win was secured, but PSG’s performance wasn’t particularly convincing tonight.
