This incident prompted the Collectif Ultras Paris (CUP) to sanction one of its constituent groups, expelling them for the remainder of the season. AFP, as reported by Le Parisien, has announced that Parias Cohortis (comprising 80 members) have now been permanently expelled after failing to meet the conditions set by the club.

It is a bold move, but far from illogical. The group caused significant problems, which is unacceptable. Football must remain free of violence, of course. It is a shame that some fail to respect this common-sense boundary.
We appreciate having a safe Parc des Princes, which has also enjoyed a great atmosphere for several years now. There is even the development of an Ultras group on the Boulogne side as well.
